Patsy Palmer shared a rare snap of her son Fenton on Friday as she celebrated his acceptance into The University of California.

Taking to Instagram, Patsy, 49, who lives in Malibu, shared a sweet black and white snap with her model son, 21, and revealed he will be ‘the first in both families to attend a university.’ 

The former EastEnders actress, wrote: ‘ WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR SON’, whom she shares with husband Richard Merkell.

Captioning the sweet post she wrote:’ WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR SON . This is big news in our family . He has been accepted into @ucla he has worked so hard for this and deserves the best life has to offer. 

‘We love you so much . Being the first in both family’s to attend a university especially one of the best in the world is an amazing achievement.’

Patsy shares children Fenton, Emilia, 19, and Bertie, 10, with husband Richard.

The actress also has Charley Palmer Rothwell, 29 – her UK based son with former partner Alfie Rothwell.   

Patsy has enjoyed a new lease of life in the United States after moving her family to California seven years ago.

She starred on the soap from 1993 to 1999 and returned for six years in 2008 before leaving the UK with her family.

The actress took to her page on Wednesday to promote ‘A Good Life’, a page where she will be posting her life in Malibu, how she balances her time, deals with stress and more.

Pasty left her fans outraged, with one pointing out: ‘People are struggling to pay bills at the moment’

The soap star shared the post with her 371k Instagram followers, along with a lengthy caption which read: ‘Would you subscribe to A GOOD LIFE. Being a woman is about owning my power within.

‘My days are filled with being a mum, wife, entrepreneur, actress, haircare brand/wellness owner, DJ, writer, influencer and public figure. My time is very precious and who I share that energy with is becoming more important to me.

Fans were left divided, with many of her loyal followers supporting her on the new business venture while others were furious.

They expressed their opinion in the comment section, with one penning: ‘Read the room Patsy. People are struggling to pay their bills at the moment.’ 

Brits are being hit with sky-high inflation and the fuel crisis which is adding up to £500 to their monthly bills. 

One fan pointed out it works out at £215.88 per year with another saying: ‘Unfortunately there are so many things we have to pay for now, monthly, it’s a very selective choice. I am in the process of canceling and resetting what I subscribe to.

 Another wrote: ‘I don’t understand why as fans, we have to pay £17.99 per month to get the full Patsy life?’

She added: ‘There are limits on the energy people have that create, so having an exchange of energy.

Patsy soared to fame with her role as Bianca Jackson in EastEnders from 1993 to 1999 and returned for six years in 2008.

She then left the UK and moved to Malibu in 2014 with her husband Richard Merkell, 56, and their children.

The couple are parents to Fenton, 20, Emilia, 19 and Bertie, 10, while Patsy shares son Charley, 29, with ex Alfie Rothwell.
