People share hilarious FBI webcam jokes on Twitter

From two-step passwords to encrypted What’s App messages, online security is a top priority for most paranoid people.

But when it comes to the government watching every move, it seems the population is taking a more mellow approach.

And now Twitter is been flooded with hilarious anecdotal evidence from people who are convinced FBI agents are watching them through their webcams.

While there is no hard evidence the FBI are monitoring civilians via webcams, former FBI Director James Comey admitted to using tape to cover his webcam in 2016, and advised others that it was the ‘sensible’ thing to do.

And in June 2016, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg inadvertently revealed his laptop had tape over the webcam when he shared a picture of himself sitting at his desk.
