Police launch desperate hunt for missing mother, 19, and her one-year-old son who vanished near Tesco in Merseyside

  • Maisy Roberts and her son Leighton Jones have not been seen since Tuesday
  • Police say Ms Roberts was last seen pushing her baby in ‘old-fashioned pram’ 
  • Public are urged to phone 999 immediately if they spot either of the pair  

Police are today hunting a teenage mother and her one-year-old baby after they vanished from near a Tesco in Merseyside. 

Maisy Roberts, 19, and her one-year-old son Leighton Jones have not been seen since Tuesday, prompting an urgent appeal. 

Merseyside Police say Ms Roberts was last seen pushing her baby in an ‘old-fashioned pram’ around 5pm by the Tesco Hawthorne Road in Litherland.

Police are asked to phone 999 if they see either of the pair. 

Ms Roberts is is described as approximately 5ft 6′, and was wearing a black bubble coat and pushing an old fashioned grey pram.

A spokesman said: ‘If seen please call 999 or info DM @MerPolCC quote Log 0686.’
