Self Esteem singer Rebecca Lucy Taylor has shocked fans on Instagram following a recent painful Lime bike accident on Monday.

The pop star shared a series of photos with fans showing her very bruised and cut up leg.

In one snap, the star posed for a mirror selfie wearing a black trench coat over a pair of beige shorts and had her injured leg visibly on show.

A second up close photo showed the full extent of her accident as she elevated her leg on a chair.

Fans were quick to express their concern in the comments, including singer Becky Hill who wrote: ‘Queen, wtf happened to ur leg!’

She replied: ‘Lime bike baby. It was statistically time,’ referring to the dockless e-bikes available to hire across the UK.

Lime Bikes are electric bikes found around cities – in this case London – which can be rented by people who are close by and then left almost anywhere.

It’s unclear how exactly a Lime bike contributed to her injuries, with her followers taking to the comments to wish her well in her recovery.

It comes after Self Esteem opened up about how she was embracing her 30s as her best decade yet.

Speaking to Cosmpolitian, she said: ‘Being in your 30s is the best. It’s just so much better – I just love it. The only thing that’s hard about it is society.

‘I am the happiest I’ve ever been and it’s so much down to learning to let go of so much that you cared about. I love being more boring, I love not caring. It’s heaven.

‘I’m on [Cabaret] with a load of 20 year olds, and I’m having the best time, but I see it in someone who’s like 22 who is worried about something or someone else and what they’re being compared to, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I remember that.’ It’s heaven not feeling like that anymore.’

Self Esteem launched a solo career as Self Esteem with the single ‘Your Wife’ in 2017, followed by the albums Compliments Please in 2019 and Prioritise Pleasure in 2021.
