  • Coronavirus symptoms: what are they and should you see a doctor?

The Splendour in the Grass music festival has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Event organisers said the festival – originally scheduled to be held at Byron Bay in July – will be pushed back to October instead.

‘Flume, The Strokes and Tyler, The Creator have all confirmed their attendance for these new dates alongside most others,’ organisers said in a statement.

‘As this is moving quickly and we work through the details there will be some programming changes but we are confident that rescheduling to October – a one-off Spring edition of Splendour – is the best way to ensure we present the Splendour experience you know and love.

All tickets purchased for the original event will be valid for the one in October, being held at North Byron Parklands from October 23 to 25.
