Potato Corner: Canberra cafe dedicated to potatoes wows Australian foodies

A pair of Australian foodie sisters have discovered a takeaway café in the nation’s capital that specialises in potatoes.

Chloe and Lauren from Her Food Blog, visited Potato Corner in Canberra and were impressed with the enormous range of flavours, cuts and toppings to choose from.

The store sells original, loopy, cris-cut, cheesy, sweet potato and tater tot style chips for $7.45, that can come loaded for $9.95 with bacon, mayonnaise or sour cream.

Customers can also choose the potato flavour from either barbecue, cheddar, chilli, sour cream and onion, ranch cheddar, salt and vinegar and even cinnamon sugar.

Potato Corner have their customisable fries available in combo packs with fried chicken wings, drinks and dipping sauces to choose from. 

During their visit the sisters ordered loopy fries that were flavoured generously with ranch cheddar salt and gave their Potato Corner meal a 10 out of 10 score. 

‘Now we have to go back and try every flavour! Seriously good,’ they wrote. 

The sisters shared their food experience to TikTok and received more than 39,000 views from fascinated foodies who say they want to try out the fries for themselves.

Potato Corner stores can be found in the Western Sydney suburb of Blacktown in New South Wales, Braddon in Canberra and Werribee in Victoria.
