Prince Harry memoir Spare opens up on circumcision rumours and ‘frostnipped’ penis

Prince Harry candidly spoke about his penis becoming ‘frost nipped’ during his trip to the North Pole and shut down rumours that he is uncircumcised in his autobiography ‘Spare’.

The Duke of Sussex made the admission while addressing the media’s fascination with his genitalia as rumours swirled about him and his brother being uncircumcised.

‘There were countless stories in books, and papers (even The New York Times) about Willy and me not being circumcised,’ he wrote.

Speculation had swirled that their mother Princess Diana had forbidden the pair to be circumcised as it was considered to be medically unnecessary.

Prince Harry put the rumours to bed declaring all the stories were inaccurate and confirming that he had been ‘snipped’.

The rumoured decision was a departure from the previous generation with Queen Elizabeth II having her three sons circumcised.

He also revealed that his penis had become injured during a gruelling charity trek through the North Pole in 2011.

A group of of servicemen had decided to make the 305km journey to raise money for Walking with the Wounded when they were joined by Prince Harry for four days. 

He had to return home to attend the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and made an X-rated admission about his penis at their pre-wedding dinner. 

‘Pa was very interested and sympathetic about the discomfort of my frostnipped ears and cheeks, and it was an effort not to overshare and tell him also about my equally tender penis,’ he wrote.

‘Upon arriving home I’d been horrified to discover that my nether regions were frostnipped as well, and while the ears and cheeks were already healing, the todger wasn’t.’

The couple – who met while attending schools in London – dated on-and-off for six years from 2004 after Harry travelled to Zimbabwe, where Chelsy’s millionaire father owns and runs a game reserve, during his gap year.

In November, reality star Catherine Ommanney, 50, claimed she had a two-month fling with the Prince in 2006 – when he was 21 and she was 34.

Catherine said in an interview with The Sun that she first met Prince Harry, now 38, in a bar in Chelsea while he was still in a long-term on-off relationship with socialite Chelsy Davy.

There, she says, they ‘shared a cigarette on the steps outside and [Harry] really opened-up to [her]’.

After going back inside, she claims Harry made them all bacon sandwiches, play-fought with his friends and gave her a kiss before heading home.

Catherine claims they met a few more times before the romance fizzled out and it wasn’t until 2009, a year after she married her second husband (from whom she is now separated) that the two bumped into each other again at a polo match.

She told the Sun she ‘hopes Meghan looks after him’, and that she wishes Harry nothing but ‘happiness and success’.
