Alfred Jackson, half-brother and heir of music legend Prince, has died at 66. 

He was discovered Thursday morning in his Kansas City, Missouri home, having died in his sleep.

Alfred was one of six surviving siblings who inherited the music legend’s fortune when he died in 2016, having left no will.

According to TMZ, law enforcement found no signs of foul play, believing he died of natural causes. 

He was found unresponsive around 10:30 am by his half-brother Bruce Jackson, who shares no relation to Prince. 

Alfred was able to buy a home with his brother’s inheritance after living in VA housing for decades.

The Air Force veteran was one of the musician’s first family members to speak out following his death.

He told ET: ‘I miss my brother, because my brother was everything in the world to me. God bless Prince, God bless the world. He’s a legend, he really is.’

Although he hadn’t seen his brother in a few years before his death, Alfred remained proud of him and his career.

He continued: ‘He was so busy on the road because he had so many engagements with his music.

‘So, he had to travel, all around the world. I always saw him on television, read the magazines, and said, “There’s my brother, Prince.” I was so happy he was making it for himself, I really was.’

Alfred and Prince (whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson) shared the same mother, jazz singer Mattie Shaw.

Prince tragically died on April 21, 2016 at the age of 57, having suffered an accidental overdose of fentanyl.
