Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attends United Nations meeting in Delhi

With Delhi in the midst of a heat wave with temperatures reaching the high 40s many will be doing away with layers.

But it seems that Queen Maxima was still a little chilly despite the blazing heat.

The Queen of the Netherlands stepped out in an elegant baby blue sleeveless dress for her meeting in the Indian city on Monday.

But as soon as she took her seat for her meeting with a local representative of the UN, Maxima, 47, could be seen wrapping up in a shawl.

The mother-of-three appeared to be suffering from the cold, likely due to the air conditioning, as she covered up in the chic patterned pashmina.

She opted for various metallic accessories in the form of bangles, a belt and silver pumps for her engagement today.

In light of the high temperatures, the Argentinian-born royal swept her golden tresses  into a low chignon as she headed for her meeting.
