RB Leipzig 1-2 Union Berlin: Visitors battle back from a goal down to close to within a point of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich

  • RB Leipzig took the lead in the first half through Benjamin Henrichs 
  • Union Berlin turned the game on its head with two second half goals
  • They are now just a point behind Bayern Munich at the top of the table 

Union Berlin kept up the pressure on leaders Bayern Munich by coming from a goal down to beat RB Leipzig 2-1 on Saturday evening.

The hosts took the lead in the 24th minute through Benjamin Henrichs, but Union Berlin drew level just after the hour mark when Janik Haberer found the net.

Robin Knoche scored the winner from the penalty spot 18 minutes from time to help his side close to within a point of Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga.
