Real Madrid have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Ajax winger Dusan Tadic
Tadic, who has scored 34 goals and provided 21 assists in 52 appearances for Ajax this season, was proposed to Madrid but the club have turned down the chance to acquire his services, according to Spanish outlet Marca.
The 30-year-old winger has hit the ground running since moving to the Dutch outfit from Southampton last summer.
He has been a key figure in Ajax’s impressive performances in the Champions League this season.
Tadic scored and set up two goals in his side’s 4-1 victory over Madrid at the Bernabeu in the last 16 of the European competition.
Madrid believe they have closed the signing of Serbian international Luka Jovic, with forward Mariano Diaz likely to move in the opposite direction.
Diario AS reported that Madrid will pay €60million (£51m) for the 21-year-old with €48m (£40.8m) going to Eintracht Frankfurt and €12m (£10.2m) going to Benfica, who still own a percentage of the player’s rights.
