Rebecca Gayheart has two children with ex Eric Dane: Billie Beatrice Dane, 14, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, 12.
On Tuesday the Jawbreakers actress shared with E! News that Billie is heading to high school in the fall.
‘She’s a teenager, she’s starting high school next year,’ the 52-year-old shared. She’s just a good girl, I have to say.’
Gayheart filed for divorce from Eric in 2018 after 14 years of marriage.
She also said she has put her kids first. ‘I took a decade off from working to be home with my kids,’ Rebecca explained. ‘They’re like, :But what do you do, mom?” And I’m like, “OK, I need to show them what I do.”‘
She will next be seen in the show Nickels with Rob Riggle.

She also said her kids were great at supporting her career and being a single mom.
‘They are making it easy on me so far,’ Rebecca told the site. ‘But I should knock on some wood.’
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star (she played Brad Pitt’s wife) quipped, ‘Do we have any wood anywhere?’
The star added: ‘I need to work so that they get that they need to work and that women have to get out there and carve out a career and, like, go after it.’
During the pandemic Rebecca said she was ‘pretty much solo.’
She said the global health crisis made it ‘difficult’ for her and Eric to co-parent.
She said: ‘[I’ve been parenting] pretty much solo. With the pandemic and the social distancing, [it] has been difficult. But they’ve been here with me so that’s been good. [It’s] very consistent that they’ve been in one place.’

The Scream 2’star says things haven’t been easy, as she’s also been trying to keep track of her mental health whilst staying at home amid the pandemic.
She added: ‘My kids and I were [recently] bickering and I was screaming at them. I was like, “Why am I doing this? This is ridiculous.”‘
During her time at home with her daughters, Rebecca has been making sure to spend time educating them on important topics, and says she’s been discussing homelessness with them recently.
Rebecca – who also takes her children to donate their leftover food to food banks – told Us Weekly magazine: “They’re like, ‘Why wouldn’t someone help them? You’re supposed to help people in need.”
‘It’s complicated. It’s very hard to get children to understand because it is a very complicated issue. No one has a perfect solution, but I always say it starts at home.’
