Deacon Phillippe — the son of actors Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe — is headed to the big screen.
The actor, 20 — who is studying music at prestigious New York University — has landed his first major role in a film adaptation of 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank.
Deadline reported Friday that Liam Neeson will lead the heist comedy’s cast that’s mostly made up of rising stars like Deacon.
The news comes two years after Deacon made his acting debut as a guest star on season three of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever (2022).
In the last year, Deacon has upped his social media presence and he’s attended a slew of major Hollywood events with his mom, who is worth a reported $400 million.

Along with Deacon, the 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank cast features the talents of up-and-comers Talia Ryder, Noah Jupe, Whitney Peak and Jack Dylan Grazer.
Frankie Shaw — best known for her acting performances in SMILF and Mr. Robot — will helm the upcoming project.
The script — based on the graphic novel by Matthew Rosenberg with illustrations from Tyler Boss — was adapted by screenwriter Matt Robinson.
The film centers on a heist that goes horribly wrong, all while the characters aren’t prepared for what happens when things turn violent.
Neeson plays ex-bank robber Danny, whose teenage granddaughter Paige (Ryder) means the world to him.
‘So when she overhears that his former gang is pulling him back in for one more score to pay a debt, she comes up with the only logical solution: She enlists her three ride-or-die best friends to rob the bank the day before so he doesn’t have to,’ the official synopsis reads.
The book version of 4 Kid Walks Into A Bank has been described as ‘a darkly comedic story of four burgeoning child criminals and their elaborate plans,’ according to Goodreads.

Lead star Neeson has had a long and distinguished Hollywood career that includes a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his work in Schindler’s List (1993).
The Irish actor made his film debut in Pilgrim’s Progress (1978).
He became a full-fledged action film star after starring in the popular Taken franchise (2008, 2012, 2014), leading to his roles in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), The Grey (2012) and Non-Stop (2014), among others.
His other popular films include: Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Michael Collins (1998), Kinsey (2004), Batman Begins, (2005), Clash of the Titans (2010) and The Chronicles Of Narnia (2005, 2008, 2010).
Currently, he has no less that four projects in post-production, including The Naked Gun, Thug, Cold Storage and The Ice Road 2: Road To The Sky.
