Richard Wilkins left red-faced after accidentally referring to Travis Barker as Travis Scott

He’s been working as a celebrity reporter for almost four decades. 

But even Richard ‘Dickie’ Wilkins, 69, isn’t immune to suffering an occasional hiccup when it comes to presenting on live television. 

On Monday, the veteran presenter was left red-faced after mistakenly referring to Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, 47, as rapper and Kylie Jenner’s on/off partner Travis Scott, 32, during an entertainment news segment on Nine’s Today Extra. 

Dickie made the faux pas while reporting on news Kourtney Kardashian, 44, and Barker are expecting their first child together.

‘Just when we thought we had enough Kardashians, Kourtney has revealed she is having a bub, which is wonderful news, of course ‘ Dickie began. 

‘She revealed that over the weekend. Today we have some photos. They show her and her Blink 182 drummer Travis Scott looking very happy,’ he added, as photos of pregnant Koutrney posing with Barker flashed on-screen. 

Neither co-hosts Sylvia Jeffreys nor David Campbell picked up on Dickie’s error, and simply continued with the program. 

To make matters worse, Nine also mistakenly captioned the images: ‘Kourtney shares pic of baby bump with Travis Scott.’

Travis Scott is actually the on-and-off partner of Kourtney’s half-sister Kylie Jenner. 

Perhaps adding to Dickie’s confusion was the fact that Kourtney’s previous partner is named Scott Disick. 

Kourtney announced her pregnancy while attending a live Blink-182 show.

To make matters worse, Nine also mistakenly captioned the images: ‘Kourtney shares pic of baby bump with Travis Scott’

As her husband performed on stage, Kourtney held up a hand-made sign that read: ‘Travis, I’m Pregnant.’

It was a nod to the band’s iconic All The Small Things music video, in which a similar sign appeared. 

After catching a glimpse of his wife’s message, Travis jumped down off the stage, made his way towards her and the couple shared a passionate kiss.

She later confirmed the news on her Instagram Story by sharing a video of the surprise reveal.
