An associate of longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone says he expects to be indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for lying to federal authorities in the Russia investigation.
Jerome Corsi, a right-wing author who has espoused conspiracy theories about Barack Obama’s place of birth and the September 11 attacks, said on his YouTube broadcast on Monday that he anticipates an indictment soon.
He said that in the two months since he was initially questioned by FBI agents working for the Mueller investigation, ‘the entire negotiations and discussions have just blown up.’
‘I fully anticipate that in the next few days I will be indicted by Mueller for some form or other of giving false information to the Special Counsel or the grand jury… but I am going to be criminally charged,’ Corsi said on his show.

Corsi hosts a daily internet program. He has written books alleging that Obama was not an American citizen, John McCain had secret ties to Al-Qaida, and the government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks.
‘This has been one of the most frightening experiences of my life,’ Corsi said on Monday.
‘At the end of two months my mind was mush.’
The 72-year-old Corsi said: ‘I’m going to be indicted. That’s what we’ve been told. Everyone should know that.’
‘Trying to explain yourself to these people is impossible… I guess I couldn’t tell the special prosecutor what he wanted to hear,’ he said.
Corsi denounced Mueller and the Department of Justice, accusing them of politically persecuting him because of his support for President Donald Trump.
‘The Department of Justice is run by criminals,’ Corsi said. ‘I think my crime really was that I supported Donald Trump.
‘Now I guess I’ll go to prison for the rest of my life, because I dared to oppose the Deep State.’
Corsi is appealing to his supporters for help in funding his legal defense.
He created a PayPal page where donors could contribute money.

Corsi’s entanglement in the investigation has been reported in recent weeks as Mueller has focused on associates of Stone.
Stone has claimed that Corsi and another former friend, Randy Credico, were his sources of damaging information about Democrats.
Stone told The Washington Post on Monday that he and his lawyers have ‘fully reviewed’ all of his communications with Corsi.
‘When those aren’t viewed out of context they prove everything I have said under oath regarding my interaction with Dr. Corsi is true,’ Stone said.
‘It is possible to take individual communications out of context to create a false impression to a grand jury.
‘Such a case would be weak and would fail.’
Stone appeared on the Infowars website on Monday and speculated that ‘perhaps [Mueller’s prosecutors] have squeezed poor Dr. Corsi to frame me.’
Corsi said on Monday that ‘to the best of my recollection’ he never met Julian Assange or had any ties to him or WikiLeaks.
Mueller (seen above in 2017) has reportedly focused on Stone in recent weeks over his alleged ties to WikiLeaks
He also denied having advance knowledge of WikiLeaks revealing sensitive information about the Democratic Party.
‘There was no conspiracy,’ Corsi said.
‘I found out what I knew largely from open sources.’
Stone has said that Corsi and Trump met and bonded over the former’s contention that Obama was not really born in the United States.
The special counsel has spent dozens of hours trying to figure out if Stone really did have knowledge of Wikileaks’ plans to released hacked Democratic emails before the 2016 presidential election.
Stone himself claimed during the presidential campaign that he was in touch with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange (above). In August 2016, Stone predicted that WikiLeaks would once again leaks thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic Party

In August 2016, Stone predicted that WikiLeaks would once again leaks thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic Party.
‘I actually have communicated with Assange,’ he bragged to a Republican group in Florida that month.
A few weeks later, Stone tweeted that it would soon be ‘Podesta’s time in the barrel’, seemingly referring to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta.
Six weeks later, WikiLeaks unleashed dozens of stolen emails from Podesta’s account.
