‘Of course you’d make it all about yourself!’ Neighbours star Sarah Ellen faces a backlash after sharing a video of herself posing in front of the Notre Dame cathedral – after the building was devastated by an inferno
Sarah Ellen has been accused of making the Notre Dame cathedral inferno ‘all about herself’ with a poorly thought-out Instagram post.
The former Neighbours star, 22, was slammed on Tuesday night when she shared an old video of herself modelling in front of the world-famous Parisian landmark.
Alongside the glamorous clip, Sarah wrote: ‘The first time I went to the Notre Dame. I didn’t think it would be my last. Devastating news for Paris.’

The post, which has since been deleted, was met with a huge public backlash after it was reposted to the Brown Cardigan Instagram account.
‘Jesus, just don’t,’ one person commented, while another wrote: ‘Of course you’d make it about yourself.’
‘This is f**king cringe. I’m sorry for your loss,’ read a similar comment.

‘What an absolutely narcissistic post,’ another person wrote below Sarah’s post.
‘A video of you dancing in Paris is just all about you getting likes while hijacking the sad tragedy of history lost today.’
One follower said the young actress didn’t understand the scale of the devastation.
They wrote: ‘What level of narcissist does one need to be at to take an event that has almost destroyed over 850 years of human history and make it about themselves?’

On Monday evening, the Notre-Dame de Paris went up in flames, leaving France and the international community distraught.
A fire that began shortly before 6:50pm local time burst through the roof of the centuries-old cathedral and engulfed the spire, which collapsed, quickly followed by the entire roof.
