The Melbourne native lives in Los Angeles with her boyfriend Matthew and their five-month-old son Zai.

She added: ‘Matthew and I are so in love!!! I have taken this time to adjust to my baby’s schedule and to understand the role of being a mother. Bringing life into this world is a beautiful challenge.’
The model flew her mother Kim Shaik to Los Angeles for the birth of Zai and said that she is her biggest inspiration of how to be a good mom.
Last Mother’s Day while she was pregnant, Shanina posted a sweet message online for her unborn baby.
‘Thank you for choosing me to be your Mum,’ it said.
