This is the terrifying moment a car ploughs through a glass barrier and into diners sitting in a Starbucks.

Footage captured on CCTV shows people sitting in an outdoor area of the coffee shop next to a busy road on Turkmenbashi Boulevard in Adana, Turkey.

Suddenly a white car swerves from a lane of traffic and heads straight towards the groups of people enjoying a drink.

As the car plunges into a plate glass window, which separates the cafe from the road, people can be seen throwing themselves out of the way.

Tables and chairs are sent flying as the car smashes into the seating area.

The clip shows people scrambling from the wreckage of the crash as they run away.

The car, which has ground to a halt, had it’s windscreen smashed in the collision.

Luckily, no one was seated in the middle of the cafe where the car mowed into, and most of the diners managed to jump out of the way in time.

According to a local news site, the driver lost control of the steering wheel causing the car to swerve erratically.

Three people were reportedly hurt and taken to hospital for their injuries.

This comes after a car crashed into a new drive-through Starbucks last month for the second time in six weeks after it opened on a busy motorway junction.

Police and paramedics were called to the coffee shop near Painshill in Surrey to find a vehicle lying on its side in the car park.

The driver escaped with a ‘minor injury’ and the car was removed from the site, which sits on the A3 junction with the M25.
