  • Josh used slogans and popular jingle from Bunnings Warehouse ad

A single man has impressed potential suitors with a Bunnings-inspired voice note on his online dating profile.

Josh got creative on the Hinge app by recording a 30-second pitch using the hardware store’s jingle all Aussies know along with familiar slogans used in his favour.

The 25-year-old encouraged women to ‘get on down to Josh’s DMs for 50 per cent off compliments’ and ‘two-for-one deals on red flags’ – he also confessed he’ll beat any bad date ‘by 10 per cent’.

He then invited any potential partners to meet him at ‘Josh’s mum’s house’ before wrapping up the voice memo by stating ‘red flags are just the beginning’.

A video of the recording shared by TikTok user @bridgetdowdle has since gone viral and left thousands of Aussies in stitches.

His tactic was a hit with the ladies and was described as ‘genuinely the best thing we’ve ever heard’.

‘Hate online dating – swipe swipe swipe – it sucks,’ he said.

‘Get on down to Josh’s DMs for 50 per cent off compliments and two-for-one deals on red flags. Everything you need to be a bit confused and pissed off.

‘If you think you’ve had the worst best date, don’t worry – I’ll beat it by 10 per cent.

‘Get on down to Josh’s DMs. Yes, I’m 25 and my mum wants to meet my girlfriend. Get on down to Josh’s mum’s house.’

He then proceeding to sing ‘Josh’s mum’s house’ in the Bunnings jingle then said: ‘Red flags are just the beginning.’

Overnight the TikTok views spiked exceeding more than 709,000 views and thousands of comments.

‘Love a self aware man with a sense of humour,’ one wrote, another asked: ‘How is he still single?’

‘Josh’s got game,’ another said, while a fourth wrote: ‘Honestly might download Hinge just to find this guy.’

Another dubbed the voicenote as ‘the best thing I’ve ever heard’.

In the comments Bridget added: ‘This was on my roommate’s profile but she did give him a like!’

However, others were put off due to the frequent mention of red flags.

‘I’m 99 per cent sure I went on a date with this guy and can confirm. Red flag king,’ one woman claimed.

Another said: ‘I don’t care how good this is, it’s a no just based on the name alone.’
