Stephen A. Smith has taken aim at Larsa Pippen for dating Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, after being married to Scottie for 24 years, saying ‘there’s certain lines you [just] don’t cross!’
On Wednesday, the ESPN analyst went public with his thoughts on Larsa’s comments that she was traumatized by Michael Jordan’s disapproval of her relationship with his youngest son, 32, on his eponymous talkshow. Marcus and Lisa’s relationship started in January, according to People.
Scottie, 57, and Lisa, 49, were married from 1997-2021 and have four children: Scotty Jr., who last played for the Los Angeles Lakers; Preston, Justin and Sophia, who were all born between 2000 and 2008.
‘You know that when you knew [Michael] Jordan, you was Pippen’s woman, and the mother of his children,’ said Smith. ‘So for you to transition from that to dating his son is at the very least, uncomfortable.
‘So she’s sitting up there, she’s talking, admitting it probably is awkward for Scottie and Michael…you think, really? You don’t understand that as a woman? You a grown woman…

‘At one point in time they were family, Scottie Pippen and [Michael Jordan], added Smith. The two Chicago Bulls legends won six NBA titles together and ‘His Airness’ even once revealed that he considers Scottie to be his ‘best teammate’ of all time.
A personal spat emerged between the pair when Pippen didn’t agree with the way he was portrayed in Netflix’s ‘Last Dance’ miniseries, which resolves around Jordan’s career, with particular focus on the 1997-98 season, his final season with the Bulls.
Jordan was a producer on the show, and now their relationship has been even more damaged by Marcus dating Lisa, despite Jordan being against it.
‘Again, she was around,’ Smith said of Larsa, who’s known Marcus since his birth in 1990. What’s more is that she and Jordan’s youngest son have a 17-year gap. Jordan, 60, and his current wife, Yvette Prieto, 44, have a 16-year age difference.
‘I don’t care what kind of man you are, when you are dating someone, even if you don’t want them anymore, you don’t want to see them in your face with someone else you tight with, ‘ Smith said of Larsa’s new relationship.
‘That’s too close to home. There’s certain lines you don’t cross.’

The US TV personality then begged to ask the question as to why Larsa didn’t revert back to her maiden name after Scottie.
‘The former Mrs. Pippen didn’t care…I’m wondering why she’s still got the name ”Pippen”? Why don’t you change it? Give people an opportunity to forget you were Scottie Pippen’s wife, so it’s not being snubbed in his face!’
Last week, Scottie was all smiles as he was spotted out in Malibu, going on a date to Soho House with a mystery woman who flashed her bra from the back seat of his car.
And after Larsa revealed that she was embarrassed by Jordan’s public disapproval of her relationship with his son, Marcus, ‘MJ’ was seen smoking a cigar while relaxing in Italy on vacation with his second wife.
