Stranger Things star looks unrecognisable – two years after his heart wrenching final scene

Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn looked unrecognisable as he headed out in London on Tuesday. 

The actor, 30, who played Eddie Munson in season 4 of the Netflix hit, looked worlds away from the eccentric Hawkins High School student, two years on from his heart wrenching final scene. 

Sporting a buzz cut, he left French House pub in Soho, wearing a brown corduroy jacket and wide leg jeans. 

Season four of Stranger Things saw the introduction of Eddie, who is the leader of the Hellfire Club, known for his 1980’s long hairstyle and punky clothing. 

But in a tragic twist of fate, the character’s stint was short-lived – as he heroically sacrificed himself to save his friends.

Joseph went on to star in A Quiet Place: Day One and will next appear in Gladiator II and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. 

Last month, the actor recalled the ‘cringe’ moment of meeting Taylor Swift, 34, for the first time and the ‘f*****g stupid’ thing he said to the singer. 

When asked by host Josh Horowitz during an appearance on his Happy Sad Confused podcast if he’s had any embarrassing moments since becoming famous, one particular encounter came to mind. 

‘I met Taylor Swift once, and I said, “You’re Taylor Swift.” She was very funny,’ Joseph recalled on Monday’s episode.

The Grammy winner then acknowledged the actor’s work on Stranger Things. 

‘She said something nice about like the show,’ Joseph continued, ‘and I said, “Oh, thanks. You’re Taylor Swift. I mean it as a compliment.”‘ 

Josh laughed at the banter, pointing out that it is indeed a compliment. 

Joseph responded, ‘It’s definitely a compliment, and I remember thinking like that was f*****g stupid. But she was very good-humoured about it.’

As for where the celebrities stand now? As the Gladiator II star joked, the two are still on ‘great terms’ and he will be featured on Taylor’s next album.

‘We are just trying to figure it out,’ Joseph quipped before admitting that no, Taylor has not ‘reached out’ about a musical collaboration.

Although the Dickensian alum didn’t reveal where he met the pop star, fans may remember that Joseph’s Stranger Things costar Sadie Sink (who played Max) starred in Taylor’s short film All Too Well in 2021.
