Strictly’s Kevin Clifton reveals he wants a ‘little gang’ of children with girlfriend Stacey Dooley

Kevin Clifton has revealed his and girlfriend Stacey Dooley’s future plans for a second baby together.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional, 40, and the TV presenter, 36, welcomed their first child together in January, a little girl named Minnie.

Now Kevin has admitted that the couple are keen to expand their brood and give Minnie a younger sibling.

Speaking to OK!, he said: ‘Stacey’s already talking about Minnie needing a brother or a sister. I can see us having more kids if we’re lucky enough and it happens for us, but Minnie is a handful as it is at the moment!’

He added that he hoped that his children would have a similarly close bond to that of him and his younger sister Joanna Clifton.

Joanna is also a professional dancer who appeared on Strictly for two years, and is only two years younger than Kevin. 

Kevin explained: ‘It’s the idea of them being a little gang and having each other’s backs. Me and my sister are a little gang and have each other’s backs – that’s what we’d like for Minnie.’

Also in the interview he added: ‘I’m really happy. Me and Stace are really happy and we’ve just had a baby and that’s going really well. Yeah, I’m in a very grateful place at the moment.’

It comes after Stacey sweetly gushed over her baby daughter while appearing on The One Show last month, calling her ‘the love of my life’.

Speaking to presenters Emma Willis and Jermaine Jenas on the BBC show, Stacey was overwhelmed with emotion when discussing motherhood.

She said: ‘Honestly, it’s like I’m the first woman to ever have a child. I’m that dramatic! I’m just completely obsessed. I’m head over heels, she’s magic.’

Stacey couldn’t hold back her smiles as she beamed with pride when talking about her daughter’s personality.

Stacey and Kevin announced their pregnancy news in August by sharing a snap of the documentary maker cradling her bump with Instagram followers.

She wrote at the time: ‘Gaaaaaaang… We are having a baby! So b****y delighted. Kev, you’re magic, I love youuuu.

‘(Was becoming impossible to hide and if one more person asks me if I’ve had my t**s done in LA I’m gonna scream). Here goessssssss.’

The couple met on the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, which they went on to win.
