Succession stars party: Stars share behind the scenes moments

The Succession finale aired on Monday in the UK and the stars of the show have been partying up a storm and sharing behind the scenes moments on social media.

J. Smith Cameron, 65, and Kieran Culkin, 40, who famously had a rather bizarre sexual attraction in the show as Gerri and Roman Roy could be seen having a moment by the bar in one Instagram snap she posted.

Coming up close to his face with a pen in hand, as if applying make-up, J. Smith captioned the image with broken love heart emojis.

The comments section went wild, with fans referencing some of Roman’s kinky lines towards his older lover from the series, including: ‘I’m actually j***ing off.’

Moreover, another fan wrote; ‘Please tell me you met up with him at the bar and he ordered you a martini’ in reference to her favourite tipple.

Just hours after the explosive series finale aired, one of the show’s crew members shared that Jeremy Strong celebrated by getting his head shaved by his on-screen siblings.

Strong, 44, who plays Kendall Roy, was seen in a video shared on social media, getting his head shaved by co-star Kieran.

Kieran tells Strong to turn around and look in the mirror, as he sees the top of his head cleanly shaved as he laughs.

He tells their co-star Sarah Snook, 35, who plays Shiv Roy, to, ‘get in there,’ and passes the clippers to her as she starts shaving the sides and the back of his head.

The clippers are then passed around to several other crew members, as one man named Joe asks, ‘Can I get in there?’

Strong replies, ‘Yeah get in there! Anybody can get a crack,’ as Joe passes the clipper to Strong, who passes it to a female crew member.

Strong then asks Culkin, ‘Can I shave your head?’ but he emphatically responds, ‘No!’ as the room breaks into laughter.

Minnie also shared other videos on her Instagram story including one of Succession creator Jesse Armstrong and Snook singing the Joy Division classic Love Will Tear Us Apart.

She also shared a variety of snaps from the last day on set, plus another video of Strong getting his head shaved… with a twist.

Snook is seen shaving the right side of Strong’s head when Culkin pulls out an egg and smashes it on Strong’s nearly-bald head, which Snook was not expecting.

Strong takes the clippers from a stunned Snook as Culkin wipes some of the egg on her face before they both hug, before someone smashes an egg on Culkin’s head.

The show debuted in 2018 and has won a total of 13 Primetime Emmy Awards for its first three seasons.

Justine Lupe, who plays Connor Roy’s sibling Willa, shared a gallery of images, including some of the cast out at dinner.

Sitting alongside Shiv, she captioned the images with the words: ‘Some from the end and a tik tok my doctor sent me that hurt my heart in a good way. I love you dudes ♥️.’

The show has won Outstanding Drama Series for two of its three seasons, and will likely be a top contender for this year’s Emmy Awards as well.

The show wrapped up its four-season run with Sunday night’s episode entitled With Open Eyes, which revealed the fate of the Waystar Royco company built by the late Logan Roy (Brian Cox), and his ultimate successor.

While the 90-minute finale began with the Roy siblings on different sides, they ultimately came together, ‘anointing’ Kendall as the CEO as they try to block the merger with Lukas Matsson’s (Alexander Skarsgard) Gojo and keep the company their family created.

Their plan ultimately backfired, with Shiv deciding at the last minute she couldn’t back Kendall, leading to the board voting through the merger, with Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen) being named the new CEO.

The final episode was written by series creator Jesse Armstrong and directed by Mark Mylod, who directed 16 episodes throughout the show’s four-season, 39-episode run.
