‘I don’t know if [he’s] a hero or a villain,’ Swatosh said in a TikTok detailing her experience. ‘Because [he] found my wallet but he won’t give it back.’

She went on to explain that the man said he thought Swatosh was ‘cute’ and wanted her to go out on a date with him.

But when she rejected him and claimed she wasn’t interested, the man got upset.

‘Why not?’ he had asked her. ‘You don’t even know if I am hot.’

The man finally agreed to meet her at the local McDonald’s several days later – only to fail to show up.

‘I went there and waited for 25 minutes but I hadn’t heard from him,’ the model said.

She also then revealed that her subsequent texts had turned ‘green’ – which meant that she had been blocked.

Swatosh posted another video over a week after her first one and was shocked to find that all of her items, including cash she had in the wallet, had been returned to her hotel lobby.

‘I’ve just been informed that someone dropped off a wallet for me at the front desk,’ she said, frazzled.

‘My flight leaves in eight hours, I don’t know what I would have done.’

The model revealed that the stranger also left her a note – but the contents of which were ‘frustrating.’

‘I hope you had a fun trip, kid,’ the note said. ‘I enjoyed messing with you.’

He added, ‘It’s always a good time messing with the tourists – but you always have a local friend here in Hawaii.’

Swatosh was extremely grateful to the stranger for returning her items – but puzzled by the man’s ‘unique’ definition of playing a prank.

‘That was an emotional rollercoaster for me,’ Swatosh said while crying.

‘But these are tears of joy,’ she clarified.

Millions followed along on her journey, with several thousand shocked at the man’s insensitivity.

‘This dude has probably been watching this emotional roller coaster of a ride on TikTok and having a few laughs – how rude!’ said one commenter.

‘That was so mean,’ said another. ‘I’m glad you got your items back but that was not funny at all.’

Several others chimed in with helpful advice.

‘Get new cards and change your phone number – you never know if he wrote the information down.’

‘It’s always helpful to have a tracking device like an Airtag on when travelling.’
