Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets reselling for $2,700 as singer set to head to Sydney in 2024

Tickets for Taylor Swift’s 2024 The Eras Tour in Australia are already available on reselling sites. 

The website Viagogo has seats for the Sydney and Melbourne shows for as much as $2700 each. 

A search of available tickets for the American pop star’s gigs at the Melbourne MCG can be found for $2459 and $2718. 

Tickets for the Sydney dates at Accor Arena are available for between $1979 and $2212. 

Basic tickets for Taylor Swift’s shows went on pre-sale today from official vendors for  between $80 and $380 – and have already sold out.

The VIP packages came in at between $350 to $1,249 and includes merchandise such as tote bags and posters, and have also sold out in today’s pre-sale.

It is illegal to resell event tickets for profit in NSW, and in Victoria, it is an offence to resell event tickets for over 10 per cent above face value.

The Australian Federal Court found in 2019 that Viagogo had breached Australian consumer law on multiple counts related to misleading the public when reselling tickets. 

Frontier Touring advises fans to buy tickets through authorised sellers.

‘We cannot guarantee any ticket purchase made through any means other than the official ticketing agents listed on the Frontier website,’ they said in a statement.

The American Express VIP Package pre-sale commenced on Monday, June 26 at 10am for Sydney’s dates and 2pm for Melbourne, with two VIP packages available: It’s Been a Long Time Coming + Karma is My Boyfriend.

Frontier member pre-sale for her Aussie shows start on Wednesday, June 28 at 10am with tickets and VIP packages available.

The demand for tickets for the American pop star’s shows is expected to be unprecedented, and presale allocations are expected to sell out.

Tickets will only be available to access via the Ticketek App, which will need to be downloaded with the latest version before the shows.

All of Taylor’s shows in Australia are all ages, but fans under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Taylor announced last Wednesday she will be bringing her Eras Tour to Sydney and Melbourne in February 2024.

The concerts will be the first time the Love Story hitmaker, 33, has performed in Australia since 2018.

The Pennsylvania native will be performing five concerts in Australia in February, two in Melbourne and three in Sydney.

The Victorian shows will be performed at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 16 and 17.

Swift will then fly to Sydney to perform over three consecutive nights at Accor Stadium, on February 23, 24 and 25.

General tickets will go on sale Friday, June 30, with Sydney kicking off at 10am local time, and Melbourne going on sale at 2pm.

Swift’s show offers a variety of different ticketing options to suit all kinds of needs and budgets.

Fans will need to splash out between $79.90 to $379.90 to see the Fearless star live in concert.

In addition, VIP packages start from $349.90 and go up to a whopping $1249.90 for the It’s Been A Long Time Coming bundle.

This package includes one A reserve floor ticket, four Taylor Swift prints, a tote bag, merchandise, souvenirs and a VIP Tour laminate/ matching lanyard.

Swift’s renowned Eras Tour is quickly shaping up to be one of the highest grossing concert tours of all time, already earning over $1billion.

The iconic singer performs a 44 song set list over three hours comprising of both new and old hits.
