Teenager, 19, is charged after police find almost $10,000 worth of cocaine in her BRA

  • Police allege they found 40 bags of the drug and cash in a separate handbag 

A teenager was arrested during a night out in Kings Cross after police found her carrying almost $10,000 worth of cocaine in her bra.

The 19-year-old woman and her passenger were driving down Roslyn Street in the inner Sydney city suburb when police stopped her at about 9.10pm on Thursday.

They found at least 40 bags of the drug, which weighed 26.51g, were allegedly stuffed down her top.

Officers from the Surry Hills Police Area Command searched her silver Mazda 3, where they allegedly found cash inside the passenger’s handbag.  

The estimated street value of that amount of cocaine is more than $9,900.

She was arrested and taken to Kings Cross Police Station, where she was charged with supply prohibited drug, deal in property proceeds of crime and possess prohibited drug.

The woman, from Liverpool, was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 19 March 2020.
