Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr ‘agree to terms on historic undisputed welterweight title showdown’ with the bout between the pound-for-pound stars ‘lined up to take place on November 19 in Las Vegas’

Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford are reportedly on the verge of finally holding a historic showdown for the undisputed welterweight title.
BoxingScene.com have reported that talks between both camps have resulted in the pair agreeing to terms in principle over a fight this year.
It’s said that the matter is now in the hands of their respective legal teams to iron out final details, with hopes that a deal will be signed and fight announced in the coming days.

The fight between the undefeated pound-for-pound stars is lined up to headline a card on November 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Significant progress was made this week when Crawford’s representatives agreed to the last round of terms presented by the legal team representing Spence and Premier Boxing Champions – including his guaranteed purse and revenue split.
According to ESPN, the deal will include a rematch clause for the loser of the bout to exercise, in which the winner would earn the majority of the revenue for the return fight.
The fight would decide the first undisputed welterweight champion in more than a decade, with Spence holding the WBC, WBA and IBF titles, while Crawford has the WBO belt.
Both men hold incredible records with Spence holding a 38-0 record with 29 knockouts, and Crawford having 22 knockouts with a 28-0 undefeated streak.

A potential match-up between the American duo has been on many a boxing wish list for a number of years, ever since Crawford – previously the undisputed super-lightweight champion and then-two-weight titleholder – made the move up to welterweight.
The Omaha star immediately set the 147lb division on high alert as he dismantled an unbeaten Jeff Horn to claim the WBO strap the Aussie had won with victory over Manny Pacquiao only two fights prior.
Spence Jr then held only the IBF belt: a title he won by stopping Kell Brook in 2018.
The 32-year-old has since defended that belt six times – as well as adding two more -but was also out for 14 months after a horrifying car crash left him fighting for his life, just days after winning the WBC title.

Having recovered, Spence Jr also missed out on the opportunity to fight Manny Pacquaio in 2021 after requiring surgery on a torn retina. But now, after the American returned to defeat Yodenis Ugas and claim his WBA belt, all four welterweight titles shared between the pair.
After Spence beat Ugas, Crawford took to social media to challenge Spence to an undisputed bout.
Crawford posted: ‘Congratulations great fight now the real fight happens.
‘No more talk no more side of the street let’s go. Keep my belts warm I’ll be coming to grab em later this year.’
Promotional and network alliances have previously put barriers in the way of Spence being able to battle it out with another fellow American.
Crawford, however, became a free agent in November 2021, and left Top Rank, allowing him freedom to fight Spence.
