Fans were left shocked on Wednesday when Elly Miles sent a heartbroken Adam Todd home from The Bachelorette.
And The Bachelor runner-up Bella Varelis was one such viewer, who couldn’t believe that the hunky geologist, 24, was going home.
Bella, 25, shared a series of videos to her Instagram story of the moment she watched Adam get the boot and appeared close to tears, before offering to console him.

She had captioned the clips: ‘If Adam leaves I will riot.’

It appeared to have been a difficult decision, leaving Elly sobbing as she walked the 24-year-old outside to his waiting car.
‘You have been who you are from the very start and that’s why you stood out so much for me,’ she told him in between floods of tears.
‘Whoever ends up with you, like, bloody hell, they’re gonna be such a lucky person. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.’

Despite being left heartbroken himself, Adam tried his best to console Elly, with the two sharing one last hug before going their separate ways.
‘Elly’s the most beautiful and lovely person I’ve met. I’m always gonna care about Elly,’ he reflected on the car ride home.
‘She’s… amazing. Yeah, I liked Elly. She made me feel really, really special.’
Only moments before his elimination at the rose ceremony, Adam confessed that he was falling in love with Elly.
‘My feelings for Elly are really strong. She could definitely be the one that I say “I love you” to for the first time. I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to Elly,’ he said.

But after a successful home visit, the shy geologist simply wasn’t able to express his feelings for her, leaving Elly visibly disheartened about their relationship.
‘Before Elly leaves today, I really want to let her know that I am really falling for her,’ he admitted.
‘I’m definitely really nervous because it’s something I’ve struggled at in the past. But now’s not the time to be my shy self.’
But Adam simply couldn’t get the words out, and after standing together in awkward silence, a disappointed Elly finally left.
‘My heart’s beating out of my chest. I’ve still got so much more to say to her, but I’m really struggling,’ he admitted.
