Yvette Nicole Brown was unmasked on Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer on Fox after performing as Showbird.
The 53-year-old actress competed along with Ship, Buffaloes and Woodpecker on the season 12 show that featured a Footloose them in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the iconic film.
The show opened with a high-energy performance by panelist Robin Thicke of Footloose by Kenny Loggins. Kevin Bacon also appeared via video to express his love and gratitude for the film and thanked the show for honoring it.
Showbird in a colorful bird costume belted out “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” by Deniece Williams after her clues package hinted at a career in Hollywood and finding love later in life.
Jenny McCarthy was impressed by her powerful vocals.

‘You have a voice that I feel like, it’s so incredibly powerful, you’re so talented, that we should know who you are. Because I’m like, this is a recording artist. She’s that good,’ Jenny said.
Ken Jeong confidently guessed that Showbird was his Community co-star Yvette and Robin agreed.
Rita Ora stayed with her guess of Sheila E and Jenny guessed it was Taraji P. Henson.
Ken was thrilled to see Yvette and she explained her presence on the show was due to him.
‘It’s funny. Like, first of all, this is a love letter to Ken. They’ve been asking me to do the show for years. And, you know, singing is my first love, and it’s hard to– you know, when it didn’t work out, and so I always said no. But for you, I said I would come and do this for you,’ Yvette said.
‘Honestly, you’re family. We’ve gone through everything together. …I love you so much,’ Ken said.
Yvette showed her funny side whle commenting on her costume.
‘Showbird is kind of– you know, she has her own personality. Look at all of these feathers. And you know she’s got this caboose. I’ve never been able to twerk until right now,’ she said.

Super Bowl champion quarterback John Elway, 64, was the first contestant to be voted off The Masked Singer last week during the season 12 premiere on Fox.
‘I was definitely not in my comfort zone doing this,’ John said. ‘But I’m in retirement now and I had the opportunity and took advantage of it.’
The football legend, who won two Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos, performed as Leaf Sheep, a cute costume that looked like it was part sheep and part leaves.
