Today show weather presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs looks shocked while feeding a ‘hungry’ saltwater crocodile: ‘You wouldn’t want to be in there!’

Scherri-Lee Biggs had a wild animal encounter on the Today show on Friday.

The former Miss Universe contestant, 31, was hosting her weather segment from the Australian Reptile Park in Somersby, New South Wales.

Under the watchful eye of a zookeeper, she fed a ‘hungry’ four-and-a-half-metre saltwater crocodile named Elvis his breakfast.

With the help of a professional, she held a pole with a chicken carcass dangling off the end as Elvis lurked in the lake below.

She nervously waited for the croc to approach, before it snapped at the dead animal and tore it away after a few attempts.

Scherri-Lee looked alarmed by the confronting scene but managed to keep her cool.

She memorably fed a caged lion at Sydney Zoo on December 21.

After tossing the animal a piece of meat, it leapt up on the steel fence towards her.

But the model and TV presenter was secretly struggling with a health condition while filming the show.

She revealed in a column for 9Honey she has psoriasis and dermatitis and is also allergic to makeup.

‘There were mornings I’d wake up and my skin was so inflamed it looked like I had been punched in the eye, knowing that when I get into work, a thick layer of makeup would have to be applied to my red raw skin,’ she said.
