It only allows people in if they have work to do and charges 150 Japanese yen which is equivalent to $1.15AU for the first half an hour then 300 an hour after that.
Upon entering the venue, guests are given a card to fill out detailing what they aim to get done and receive a stamp once they’ve completed their tasks allowing them to leave.

A travel blogger known as Leanne in Japan recently went viral after posting a video of her visit.
‘You have to tell them what you’ll be working on then they’ll check on you up to six times an hour to make sure you’re not slacking off and each time they stop by they’ll bring you unlimited free snacks,’ she said in the now-viral clip.
‘When you’re done your work, they’ll give you an orange stamp, letting you know you’re now free to go.’
Her video has more than 618,900 with hundreds of comments from viewers intrigued by the unconventional concept.

‘I actually really need this because my procrastination is severe,’ one person said.
‘I’ll go later,’ a second joked while another wrote: ‘I guess I’m bringing a sleeping bag’.
‘Kindness and torture at the same time,’ laughed a fourth.
In the comments Leanne said only go to Manuscript Cafe if ‘you’re prepared to work’ and the staff are ‘super kind and motivating’.
