Tommy Fury hasn’t heard from Jake Paul since winning their fight in February despite rematch plans

Tommy Fury says he hasn’t heard from Jake Paul since winning their fight in February… despite the YouTuber announcing plans for a rematch between the pair early in 2024

  • Tommy Fury has not heard from Jake Paul since their fight back in February
  • The YouTube star-turned-boxer had said he wanted a rematch in early 2024
  • Fury said that there had been no talks, while Paul focuses on other fights

Tommy Fury says he hasn’t heard from Jake Paul since their fight, despite the calls for a rematch.

Paul was taken down by Fury in their grudge match back in February, although the split decision ruling after a close contest ignited rumours of another clash.

However, fans hoping to see the pair square up to each other in the ring could be waiting a while, with the YouTube star focusing on other fighting opportunities, and had not even reached out to Fury over another possible tangle in the coming months.

In a video posted on Twitter, Fury is asked if there’d been any contact since that fight. The former Love Island star replies: ‘Nope, not once.’

He added: ‘I think I saw him tweet the other day that he wants to run it back in a year’s time, but as far as I’m concerned, we was meant to be running it back a few months later, like in the rematch.’

As previously reported by the Sun, Paul had come forward to say that he planned the rematch to take place in February 2024 – although clearly that was without discussing the matter with Fury, who expected it to come sooner than that.

Earlier this month, Mail Sport reported that Paul was ‘deeply in love’ with Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has started preparing for August’s highly-anticipated bout between himself and former UFC fighter Nate Diaz.

Ahead of his fight on Saturday, Sunny Edwards said that YouTube stars like Paul are good for the sport of boxing.
