TRANSFER GOSSIP: Man United outcast targeted by Galatasaray in loan switch, Saudi clubs refuse to give up on signing Paul Pogba, while Tottenham prepare to tear up a former star’s contract

The transfer window slammed shut for several of Europe’s major leagues on Friday with teams rushing to complete last minute deals.

Clubs in Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia still have opportunities to complete deals ahead of their own windows closing.

Several out-of-favour players in the Premier League could land moves to these leagues after failing to land transfers over recent weeks.

A number of big-name free agents after also available and are under consideration.

Saudi Arabian clubs Al Ahli and Al Ittihad have not given up hope of signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba ahead of their transfer deadline. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele have been targeted by Galatasaray, with the Turkish side keen to sign the out-of-favour Tottenham players before naming their Champions League squad on Tuesday (Sozcu.com)

Tottenham are set to terminate Hugo Lloris’s contract after the veteran goalkeeper failed to agree moves to either Premier League rivals Newcastle or Ligue 1 side Nice on the final day of the transfer window. (Football Insider). 

Manchester City failed in a deadline day move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze with talks reaching an advanced stage after a £60m bid, but the Eagles refused to reduce their £80m demands for the midfielder. (Sunday Mirror)
