President Donald Trump and his Twitter account are virtually inseparable – which is why it was surprising to be reminded Wednesday that his social media manager may be behind some of his tweets.
Dan Scavino, Jr, who holds the title of White House director of social media, posted a word-for-word tweet that was initially tweeted by Trump on Wednesday.
It is likely that Scavino accidentally tweeted the post both from his account and that of his boss.

The tweet was in response to an NBC News story about Secretary of State Rex Tillerson (see above in Washington on Wednesday) calling the president ‘a moron’

The same tweet then appeared on Scavino’s Twitter feed, only for him to delete it shortly after realizing his mistake.
Though it is widely assumed that Trump authors his own tweets, it still remains unclear whether Scavino was temporarily put in charge of the president’s Twitter account.
Scavino reportedly often writes tweets for Trump, who hired him decades ago as a caddy at one of his golf courses.
Scavino has made public blunders in the past.

However, he was wrong and the airport’s official Twitter account called him out.

Scavino later deleted the post and wrote a follow-up tweet.

Last year during the presidential campaign, television host Megyn Kelly accused Scavino of using his job to whip up anti-journalist sentiment among Trump supporters on the internet.
Kelly said that Scavino helped incite internet users against the media, including Kelly.
The situation became so dangerous that Kelly felt the need to hire an armed security detail to protect her and her family, she said.
