A twerking instructor and Instagram influencer has claimed she was raped by immigration officials in Puerto Rico when she was stopped to have her visa checked.
Geraldine Rodriguez, better known as twerk instructor ‘Geri Hoops’, was flying out of Luis Munoz Marin International Airport when the alleged incident took place last month.
In a video posted on her social media accounts, the twerk instructor claims she was left feeling suicidal after officials allegedly slapped her, forced her dance and threw money at her before raping her.
She was flying back to her native Chile after performing in a music video for Puerto Rican singer Ozuna when the horrific ordeal allegedly occurred .

She said: ‘When I was coming back, I was stopped by migration officials because my visa was not the right one for working there and I should not have done radio and TV interviews without a working visa.
‘They only let me call my boyfriend to organise new plane tickets, but they took my phone away because they said I was crying.’
The Instagram star, who has 1.4million followers, claims she was so scared she urinated herself.
‘I did not know what was going to happen, and then they started harassing me. They pushed me around and made me dance, they even slapped me and threw money at me. I peed myself because I was so scared.

She claims one official ordered her to stand against a wall to search her before proceeding to rape her.
‘They then told me to go to the wall because they wanted to search me. One of them parted my legs, but he did not search me. Then they raped me. After that, I do not remember anything.’
Rodriguez said the alleged ordeal has left her with psychological problems and she has been prescribed drugs to help her cope with depression.

She added: ‘To tell the truth, when I came back the only solution I could see was to kill myself. My family, friends and boyfriend helped me a lot so I wouldn’t do anything.’
Rodriguez confirmed that she has contacted the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity and the Chilean Consulate in Puerto Rico about legal action.
There have been no further updates on whether the airport officials are being investigated yet.
