A male massage therapist is being sued by two women who claim they were sexually assaulted while receiving rubdowns at a Florida parlor.

Joshua Lowman, 37, is accused of touching the women’s bare breasts and genital areas after they booked in for treatments at the Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Fort Myers on January 4.

The pair also allege Lowman ‘thrust his genitals into their hands’ during their massages, Naples Daily News reports.

The two women subsequently filed incident reports with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers interviewed Lowman at the time, but found ‘no probable cause a crime was committed’.

The pair then sought legal counsel from attorney Adam Horowitz. The two women have now filed separate suits against Lowman, demanding a jury trial and damages of $1 million each.

‘There was a lot of back and forth with Hand and Stone, but we couldn’t come to an agreement,’ Horowitz told Napes Daily News, explaining the women were left with no option but to sue.

Horowitz uncovered that Lowman had been the subject of a similar complaint back in July 2018, when he was working at the Massage Luxe in Naples.

According to an administrative complaint filed with the State of Florida Board of Massage Therapy, Lowman was accused of assaulting a woman named only as ‘C.L.’

‘On or about July 25 2018, C.L. represented to Respondent [Lowman] at Massage Luxe for a massage. During the course of the massage, Respondent touched and/or caressed C.L’s inner thigh… vaginal area over her underwear… and her breasts,’ the report reads.

Last Tuesday, the Florida Department of Health issued an emergency restriction on Lowman’s massage license.

Under the restrictions, he is prohibited from practicing massage therapy on women.

Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa did not disclose whether Lowman is still employed at the Fort Myers franchise when they were contacted by the Naples Daily News.
