UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has praised controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate for fighting against the emasculation of men and ‘pushing men to be accountable’.
Just a week after reclaiming the middleweight title at UFC 287 by knocking out longtime rival Alex Pereira, ‘The Last Stylebender’ has popped up online sharing his views about masculinity.
Appearing on the Honey Badger Hour podcast, with former MMA fighter Emilio Urrutia, Adesanya explained that self-described misogynist Tate is trying to keep men ‘accountable’.
‘Jordan [Peterson], Andrew [Tate], Dave Goggins. Guys like that, they’re the ones who are really pushing men to be accountable as men,’ said Adesanya.
‘The world right now is trying to soften us. I mean, what did they say? I think it was Jordan actually said how you were back in the day, if someone like the kings and whatnot wanna stop an uproar or an uprising, would kill all the fighting-age males.

‘Can’t kill them right now, so what do you do? You p**sify them. Make them feel emasculated. Literally.’
Ex-Big Brother contestant Tate is currently under house arrest in Romania after being detained in December on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group to exploit women. He denies the allegations.
Adesanya then went on to say that a lot of men struggle nowadays because they ‘react’ too quickly to problems instead of taking time to ‘respond’ to them properly in a calm state of mind.
‘One of the tools I learned in therapy, a year or two years ago, is “don’t react, respond”,’ said Adesanya.
‘I feel like honestly the situation we are in as men, a lot of men would save themselves a lot of trouble, and a lot of killings as well. I saw too many get angry and put their chest out…’
‘Because they react, you’ve got to respond. Take that time, breathe. Meditate and train. That’s the s**t right there.’
Earlier in the week Dana White indicated that Adesanya could be back in the cage very soon.
Most fighters take a bit of time off after title fights, but the UFC boss says Adesanya has been ‘blowing up’ phones at UFC HQ asking for another fight.

‘This guy was already blowing Hunter and the boys up — ‘When’s my next fight, when’s my next fight, I want to fight again, I want to fight again,’ White said at the UFC Kansas City post-fight press conference.
‘I love that about Israel Adesanya. Israel Adesanya wants to fight non-stop, constantly. And he wants to fight everybody. So … yeah, we’re working on that and he’ll fight again soon, maybe before the end of the summer.’
Adesanya has multiple wins over many of the top contenders at middleweight, so it’s currently not clear who he will take on next.
Australian fans will be hoping that the country’s first UFC champion, Robert Whittaker, will earn a third fight with Adesanya.
