Unruly audience member at comedian Frenchy’s Newcastle show kicked out by security for interrupting

Shocking footage has captured the moment a heckler brawled with security as a comedy show descended into chaos. 

Comedian Benjamin ‘Frenchy’ French was performing a set at the Bar on the Hill, on the grounds of Newcastle University, on May 27.

A man within the audience started to interrupt him and became angry when Frenchy decided to kick him and a woman out for disturbing his show. 

Footage of the incident was captured by another audience member as the argument escalated with a security guard grabbed by the neck and kicked. 

Frenchy is known for engaging with his audience and hecklers.

The pair seemed to be off to a friendly start before the comedian became frustrated as the heckler continued to interrupt him throughout his show. 

‘I don’t know what’s going on in his brain, it’s like there’s a monkey clashing symbols together and every now and then they stop long enough for him to yell something,’ Frenchy said.

‘He needs to shut up or leave.’ 

Frenchy threatened to kick the heckler out before a woman then threw an object, believed to be a tampon, at the comedian.

‘Don’t f***ing go me you dumb c**t,’ the heckler said as a security guard grabbed him from his seat.

The crowd is seen cheering, but quietens down in shock after they another member of the crowd chases after the heckler and throw punches at him. 

‘Jesus f***ing Christ’ and ‘what the f***,’ a member of the crowd shouted.

Frenchy’s podcast partner Tom Armstrong admitted it was the first ‘swing on’ he’s witnessed.

The heckler was eventually dragged out of the venue by security guards, with staff members at the bar claiming police had been called. 

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia they had not received any reports.
