Vanessa Kirby cut a glamorous figure as she walked the red carpet at the Tribute to James Grayon on day two of the 19th Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco on Saturday.

The actress, 34, wore a black one-shoulder dress with a thigh-high split and gold statement buttons to the front.

She was joined at the event by fellow actress Diane Kruger, 46, who caught the eye in a glistening silver and charcoal grey dress with mirrored detail, and Marion Cotillard, 47, who opted for a pinstripe floor-length ensemble.

Vanessa put on a leggy display as she posed on the red carpet, standing with her leg out to the front and confidently posing with her hand on her hip.

She wore a pair of strappy black shoes to match the rest of her outfit and add a few inches to her stature for the evening.

The screen star wore lashings of make-up to highlight her pretty features and styled her blonde hair into loose waves.

She wore a pair of chunky black platform heels which were visible through the split in the back of the lower half of the skirt of her dress as she made her way inside.

The star carried a black clutch purse to match her shoes and accessorised with some silver pendulum earrings.

She wore her blonde hair tied back behind her head in a neat plait and opted for a glamorous look with her make-up.

Marion Cotillard was in good spirits as she greeted American film director and screenwriter James Gray at the event.

He looked dapper in a black suit with a matching bow tie which he teamed with a crisp white shirt and smartly polished shoes.

Marion was seen inside the venue having presented James with a gong as a tribute to his work in Hollywood.

James, who has worked on films including 1994’s Little Odessa, 2007’s We Own the Night and 2019’s Ad Astra, is due to screen his latest film Armageddon Time at the Marrakech festival.

The director is thrilled to be able to present what he describes a ‘deeply personal’ film to the audiences at the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He said: ‘[The film] not only reflects certain aspects of my youth but also looks ahead and portrays the enduring issues and inequities facing the world today.’

The film tells the story of a sixth grader Paul Graff in 1980 Queens, New York over the span of two months as he struggles to wake up from a deep sleep.

As members of his family attempt to awaken him, they prompt other awakenings which are punctuated by experiences James has himself experienced throughout his life.
