Sex offender, 57, who molested his 11-year-old daughter is cleared to drive taxis
- Man is cleared to drive cabs, despite conviction for assaulting his daughter, 11
- VCAT senior member Robert Davies believes the man has learned his lesson
A Victorian man who indecently assaulted his 11-year-old daughter has been cleared to drive taxis.
The 57-year-old applied to the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Commission to be a driver but was automatically refused because of his conviction.
He successfully appealed the decision, with VCAT senior member Robert Davies ruling the man should be accredited to drive commercial passengers as he is unlikely to reoffend.
