Waikiki manhunt: Young woman is sexually assaulted by ‘tradie’ at bus stop in Perth

An urgent manhunt is underway for a tradie who assaulted a young woman at a bus stop.

A man believed to be aged in his 30s approached the woman in her 20s at the 17254 bus stop on Read Street in Waikiki on Perth’s southern outskirts at about 4.50pm on August 7.

Police were told that the pair exchanged a brief conversation before the man indecently assaulted her.

Rockingham detectives have released a grainy dashcam image of the man in the hope that people may recognise him.

He was described as 170cm tall, of medium build and a dark complexion.

He was wearing a hi-vis yellow jacket, a maroon hat, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone who may have information, CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
