‘It was very bizarre. She just turned into a different person,’ Bert Girigorie told RadarOnline about the presenter who showed worrying signs she was unwell last October when she collapsed live on air.

He added about his ex – who returned to the air this month after a two-month hiatus that she said was brought on by Graves’ disease: ‘I don’t know what was going on. I didn’t understand a lot of things that she did. I didn’t understand what her motivations were.’

Girigorie recalled the presenter being at their wedding with a photographer from a publication riding with them in the car to the reception after the ceremony.

After dating Williams for two years before they wed in 1994, he says he didn’t know what to do when things became too difficult.

‘We had a big blowout, and the relationship became very strained,’ he continued to RadarOnline.

Girigorie told the publication Williams had a plan to vacation alone in Rio and that tipped him over the edge.

He regarded the Brazilian city as unsafe and wanted to know why she requested a solo trip.

‘I know she said she was doing drugs but she kept that away from me,’ Girigorie said. ‘I assumed that she was but I didn’t know anything about it. I know I was seeing strange behavior and behavior that I didn’t understand when I look back at it.’

Last week Williams broke down in tears on her show, admitting she had been living at a sober home and was attending meetings around New York City

The 54-year-old recently admitted she has been living in a sober home in Long Island City, Queens. But she recently relapsed and started drinking after learning her husband Kevin Hunter welcomed a child with Sharina Hudson.

DailyMail.com revealed she was found drunk and was then taken to hospital as a result.

The source says Wendy is keeping her ring on during filming until she has worked out what to do, but takes it off once outside of the studio.

‘Wendy is considering divorcing Kevin. She’s really distraught over the situation, she knew about Sharina but didn’t think a baby would arrive, she didn’t think Kevin would go this far, she’s lost and everyone is worried for her,’ they added.

Just last week, DailyMailTV exclusively revealed that Hunter told his mistress he can’t leave his wife of 22 years because she paid all the bills and is having the affair right under Williams’ nose.

It’s understood the affair is at the root of Williams’ dependence on alcohol and prescription drugs.

When she returned to her daytime TV slot this month, Williams told her fans about her past addictions that had crept back: ‘Crack is wack. I was a mess, killing myself. I realized I am a walking addict. You can’t just clean it up and stop it. You never know when it can pop up. I constantly have to watch the inside of my body because of hard partying, just a mess.’

On Wednesday, Williams and Hunter put on a united front in New York amidst reports Hunter just had a baby with Sharina Hudson.

The pair went to a commercial address after Wendy drove into a car park in Midtown Manhattan where she swapped cars and left with him before heading to the office in a bid to go undetected.
