Who is actually going to the Logies this year?

The TV Week Logie Awards will take place this Sunday on the Gold Coast.

But just who will be attending Australian TV’s night of nights?

In the last few weeks, it has emerged that several major stars will not be attending the ceremony – including Jessica Marais, Beau Ryan and the Sunrise panel.

Jessica Marais, who is nominated for the Gold Logie and the Most Popular Actress award, revealed on Wednesday that she will not be attending on Sunday.

The 33-year-old’s management confirmed in a statement that she won’t be making the trip to Queensland for undisclosed health reasons.

Meanwhile, top Channel Seven talent – including Sunrise hosts Samantha Armytage and David Koch, as well as The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies – are boycotting the Logies this year.

In fact, Larry Emdur isn’t even in the country. He is currently enjoying a sun-soaked trip to Bali, Indonesia with his wife Sylvie.

A spokeswoman for Channel Seven confirmed to News Corp earlier this month that it would not be sending its top talent.

‘The change of location, to the Gold Coast from Melbourne, has made life difficult,’ they said.

Sunrise’s absence has been criticised by Karl Stefanovic of the Today show, who will be making his presence felt alongside his Channel Nine colleagues on Sunday.

Karl, 43, unleashed an on-air tirade last Wednesday, saying: ‘I hear our opposition isn’t coming this year. What, they’re too good to support the local industry?’

Alongside Karl and the Today show team, other Nine Network stars set to attend include: A Current Affair’s Tracy Grimshaw, who is nominated for the Gold Logie, The Block’s Scott Cam and Shelley Craft, as well as select Married At First Sight stars.

Newsreader Amber Sherlock is said to be disappointed at not attending, with a source reportedly telling The Daily Telegraph: ‘Amber has made it known that she is not happy about missing out on going to the Logies.’

Another celebrity who is disappointed at not receiving an invite is The NRL Footy Show’s Beau Ryan.

The 32-year-old, who has been a regular at the event, told Today Extra on Thursday that the reason is because The Footy Show is not nominated in any category.

Beau said: ‘There’s no category that The Footy Show are in any longer, which is strange and is disappointing because there’s no category to be in. You guys know how much I love the Logies and the red carpet.’

Network Ten’s Grant Denyer will be in attendance, having been nominated for both the Gold Logie and Most Popular Presenter for Family Feud.

Colleague Amanda Keller is on the RSVP list, as she is also nominated for both the Gold Logie and Most Popular Presenter, along with The Project’s Carrie Bickmore, who is also nominated for Most Popular Presenter.

Reality TV stars will also be prominent, including The Bachelor’s Matty Johnson who is nominated for Most Popular New Talent for his hosting role on The Living Room.
