The wife of a missing camper who disappeared with his lover over a year ago has made a grim prediction about her husband’s whereabouts.
Russell Hill, 74, and Carol Clay, 73, vanished while staying in the Wonnangatta Valley in the Victorian Alps on March 20 last year.
The pair had been involved in a secret affair for years when they decided to take the camping trip together.
Investigators are still trying to determine how Russell Hill, 74, and Carol Clay, 73, disappeared while camping in the rugged bushland of the Wonnangatta Valley in Victoria’s East Gippsland region on March 19, 2020
The pair had been involved in a secret affair for years and had gone on the camping trip before their site was found burned to the ground two days later
Robyn Hill told NCA NewsWire she was a not hopeful that she would see her husband and secret lover again.
‘I can’t see how they will come home. He hasn’t spent any money, he hasn’t done anything,’ Ms Hill said.
‘I just want them found, one way or the other, and then he can face the music if he’s still alive.
‘See, I’m a bit of a sadist. You’ve got to be, otherwise you’d be in a heap.’
More to come
