Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally hit out at the Minnesota Lynx fanbase, branding them ‘disgusting’ after three fans were ejected after reportedly yelling at her during the game. 

The three fans in question were removed from the Target Center after supposedly taunting Sabally as she dealt with an ankle injury on the floor following a flagrant foul. 

After composing herself, Sabally hit both free throws to bring make it a 85-81 deficit. She then blew a kiss to the crowd and cupped her hand to her ear. further aggravating events before Dallas ultimately lost 91-86. 

‘Disgusting fan base in Minny,’ Sabally wrote on X Tuesday night postgame. 

‘The Schadenfreude to see someone get hurt can’t be a WNBA culture. Terrible words from the sidelines all game long.’

Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve apologized to Sabally, as well as Wings coach Latricia Trammell after the game. 

‘Obviously, there is no place for that,’ Reeve said, via The Star Tribune. ‘I was disappointed. 

‘Our fans are passionate. You just can’t cross the line of celebrating someone’s injury.’

Such sentiment was echoed by Lynx power forward Napheesa Collier, who claimed the taunts are ‘super inappropriate.’

‘It gets competitive and tensions are running high on the court, but we never want to see someone getting hurt,’ she said. 

‘Celebrating that is super inappropriate and is not something that represents who we are as Lynx.’
