Though Lana’s claim that she was dating the man in the video — and then ghosted him — has not been verified, comments on the video indicate that it is entirely truthful.
In fact, one woman who claims to be the man’s current girlfriend, Daniela Carreola, shared more details.
‘This tattoo was done March of 2021 before we even met. I make fun of him for it, yes, but people get tattoos of names all the time,’ she wrote.
‘Do I think it’s stupid? Yes. I have a tattoo for someone who’s not in my life. They’re tattoos.’
Yet Lana has blasted her for ‘sticking up for a narcissistic cheating abuser’ and claimed that since her video went viral, several other girls have claimed that they are currently dating her ex, too.
Wow! Another TikToker has showed off their incredibly regrettable back tattoo featuring an ex-boyfriend’s name – and social media users are shocked by just how large it is
Whoops! Ashlyn Grace, 21, got the tattoo a week before breaking up last year
The regret was flipped for another TikTok user who revealed their incredibly regrettable back tattoo featuring an ex-boyfriend’s name — which they had inked just one week before the couple broke up.
Ashlyn Grace, 21, went viral last month after admitting they got a boyfriend’s name tattooed on their back — which became a very awkward reminder of him after they broke up just a week later.
Responding to nudging from viewers eager to see the ill-advised ink, Ashlyn posted a follow-up video in which they pulled up the back of their shirt and revealed the name ‘Alexander’ written in all caps vertically down their spine.
Yet despite suggestions for how to fix it or cover it up, Ashlyn, who uses they/them pronouns, claimed to have no regrets over the tat and still likes it over a year later.
Ashlyn earned 5.3 million views for their first video, which featured the text: ‘I heard you got a tattoo of your ex’s name and then y’all broke up a week later.’
At the end of the clip, the lip-synched a lyric from a Lizzo song: ‘All the rumors are true.’
The video was flooded with comments begging to see the tattoo in question, and Ashlyn soon responded with a follow-up that hit 6.7 million views on TikTok and an additional 2.7 on Twitter.
‘Don’t be alarmed,’ Ashlyn says. ‘It’s a little big.’
The TikToker then turns around, facing away from the camera, and pulls up the back of a large sweater to the neck.
Their back exposed, the giant ‘Alexander’ is seen printed from the nape of their neck to just above their backside, dipping underneath their pants.
‘I don’t know if you can see all of it, but yeah,’ Ashlyn says.
Viewers were shocked by the tattoo, with many clearly having assumed it was just a tiny bit of art on her wrist or ankle.
‘Girl that is the biggest name tattoo I ever did see,’ wrote one TikTok commenter.
Oh no! Ashlyn does not plan on getting it covered, and even insisted that they ‘love’ it. ‘Almost a year later & I still don’t regret it,’ they wrote
‘No seriously why’d you do this?’ asked another, while a third wrote: ‘Baby you might as well beg him to take you back cause [skull emoji].’
‘So… you couldn’t have just got his name on a necklace or something?’ asked another confused viewer.
Others chimed in on Twitter, saying they ‘audibly gasped’ and urging Ashlyn to ‘book a tattoo removal immediately.’
Quite a few commenters have also had suggestions for how to improve the ink — or make it work as is.
Many suggested additions included ‘Graham Bell,’ ‘Hamilton,’ and ‘the Great’ written along the bottom.
Others says Ashlyn should ‘get a dog and name him Alexander’ or ‘only date Alexanders from this point on,’ or change their own name to Alexander.
‘Just make your whole back a word search,’ wrote one more.
Yet Ashlyn wrote in the comments that there is no plan to get it covered, and even insisted that they ‘love’ it.
‘Almost a year later & I still don’t regret it,’ they wrote. ‘It’s been 11 months [and] I still have no ideas or any desire to find a cover up artist.’
