Woman is missing after two men jumped on the bonnet of her car and tried to kidnap her before she escaped and fled on foot

A woman is missing after becoming injured in a bungled kidnapping.

The woman was sitting in a parked Holden Tigra on Boondilla Street, The Entrance, in the early hours of Saturday morning, before two men approached and jumped on top of it. 

The men damaged the windscreen and bonnet before pulling the woman out of the car and dragging her towards a nearby silver hatchback. 

She was able to break free, but police believed she became injured in the process.

The two men got in the hatchback and fled towards Bay Road, and the woman was last seen walking north on Ocean Parade. 

She has not been seen since. 

The woman is fair-skinned with a medium build, about 160cm tall and has dark hair. 

Police are urging the woman, or anyone who knows of her whereabouts, to contact detectives at Wyong Police Station as soon as possible.
