Woman puts funny label on back of shoe that her dog chewed

Twitter users are applauding an anonymous woman who seems to be fed up with people asking her, ‘Hey, what happened to your shoe?’

The woman was spotted by Twitter user Katrin, who snapped a picture of her feet as she walked down the street and shared it online.

But the picture doesn’t just show a pair of beat-up shoes: It shows beat-up shoes with a short explanation for their condition printed right no them.

Don’t ask! A woman whose dog chewed up the back of her shoe created a label for them

Funny: She pasted the label on the heel rather than toss out the shoes

A larger image shows the back of a woman wearing a skirt and snakeskin ballet flats while standing on a curb.

The left shoe is missing a large chunk from the heel, which looks to have been sloppily torn off. And beneath the missing chunk is what appears to be a strip of white tape.

But a close-up of her heels shows that the white tape is actually a label, which the woman has printed out and stuck to her shoe.

‘My dog chewed it,’ the label reads.

Katrin, who shared the image on Twitter, captioned it:’ This woman was walking around NYC with this label on her shoe and now she’s my wife.’

The tweet has been liked over 135,000 times since it was posted on May 30, racking up tons of supportive and amused comments.

‘This is the best use of a label maker in the entire history of label makers,’ wrote a woman named Robyn Pennacchia.

‘It took three friends asking, then girl was DONE. Enter label maker,’ quipped another commenter.

Several shared photos of their own shoes, and one person went so far as to make her own label soon after.

‘BRB, gotta make labels for EVERY damn table leg in my house,’ added another person.

‘I need a lot of those labels,’ one more chimed in, while another asked, ‘Is she selling these labels? I need them in shoe, hat, furniture and door sizes.’

Tweeted another: ‘I love that she felt the need to explain the damage. I do stuff like that too. But my labels would mostly say “taco grease.”‘
