A Twitter user has revealed that a product from Kim Kardashian West’s beauty line has instilled a new confidence in her mother who suffers with a condition that results in discoloration of her skin.

California-based makeup artist Katrina Marrufo took to Twitter on Wednesday, June 26, to share a photograph that showed the KKW Body Foundation successfully covering up a skin condition on her mother’s legs, which Katrina said her mom developed as a result of her ‘sickness’.

‘With my mom’s sickness, she developed a skin condition and she’s been so embarrassed to even wear shorts or dresses out in public,’ the Orange County native said in the now viral tweet.

The makeup artist said she knew she wanted to buy the product for her mom when it was released last month.

She told the publication: ‘I knew immediately that I wanted to buy it for my mom because if it worked, and it could be a life-changing product for her.’

After seeing the results she achieved on her mother’s skin using the body foundation, she said she ‘had to share it’ to show the value of such products for people with similar skin conditions.

‘Once I saw the results, I knew I had to share it to show why a product like this is so important, especially with people who struggle with any skin conditions or just anyone who wants to cover up any imperfections,’ she said.

‘I don’t feel like people should be shamed for doing so,’ the makeup artist added.

‘Sorry your mum has felt so self conscious and would only want her to be happy.

‘I wish all of us could just feel a little less self conscious. Sending love,’ she added.

The 33-year-old British actress, who previously slammed the KKW Body Foundation as she suggested that it was a waste of time and money, said: ‘Hello, so I just wanted to say sorry if I ever come across as a preachy w****r when I’m off on one of my rants about gender inequality, especially when it comes to beauty standards.

‘They are f***ing ridiculous for women, and they are worse for woman than they are for men,’ she added.

Jameela said she gets ‘riled up’, especially as she reads many personal letters from young women on a daily basis who reveal that they are struggling with mental health issues as a result of a pressure to look a certain way.

‘Watching the worth of young people being diminished before they’ve even had a chance to work out who they are just makes me feel furious.

‘And then I go off on one, and I don’t remember to think about how my tone is being perceived and how you all aren’t in the room with me seeing that I am speaking from a place of love and passion and concern that you will make the same mistakes I have made,’ she added.

However, she said in the clip that she will ‘work on’ her tone in order to prevent it from sounding like she’s ‘telling you what to do’.
