WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning in an apparent DUI – his second arrest involving alcohol in just five months

WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso – one half Usos tag team – was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning in an apparent DUI – his second arrest involving alcohol in just five months.

Uso, real name Johnathan Faru, 33, was accused of ‘driving with an unlawful blood alcohol level’ near Pensacola, Florida, after officers spotted him driving erratically and ‘swerving left and right’, according to TMZ.

Officers say that when they pulled the superstar over he smelled strongly of alcohol and appeared to be in an inebriated state.

When an officer requested he undergo a sobriety test, the former tag team champion is said to have refused.

Uso was then placed in handcuffs for failing to comply and later charged with a DUI and one count of speeding.

He was booked into the Escambia County Corrections Center in Pensacola at 3:04am and held on a $1,000 bond.

Jail records show that Uso is still in custody as of noon Thursday.

The superstar had been in Florida this week for two WWE events, with Monday Night Raw’s show in Tampa and for Tuesday night’s Smackdown billing.

This is the second time in five months that Uso has been arrested for alcohol related charges.

In February, the 33-year-old was arrested after police spotted his wife and fellow WWE superstar Naomi driving in the wrong direction down a one-way street in Detroit, with Uso in the passenger seat.

According to authorities, arresting officers noted that the inside of couple’s 2018 Dodge Journey smelled strongly of alcohol and ordered Naomi out of the vehicle.

Naomi is said to have spoken calmly to the officers, but Uso, however, reportedly got out from the car, ignoring several demands from the cops to stay put, and took off his shirt, attempting to square up to them as if he wanted to fight.

One officer is said to have taken out his Taser because he feared for his safety, TMZ reported.

The six-time tag team champion eventually calmed down and was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction.

Afterwards he agreed to a plea deal that resulted in him paying a $450 fine.

Uso has been arrested twice before for driving under the influence in 2011 and again in 2013.

His twin brother and tag team partner, Jey Uso, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in January 2018.

Thursday’s arrest came just three days after the two brothers exchanged words with John Cena on RAW, who poked fun at their mugshots asking, ‘How was it getting arrested?’

The sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rakishi, the Usos have regularly featured on WWE since 2010, since becoming one of the most decorated tag team duos in the company’s history.
